...and grape caulerpa. Very peculiar. The little guy sifts sand, picks over rock, but lately, since I got a little red slime atop a grape caulerpa clump ---recessed so my urchin has trouble getting there--- the rainford wants to hang there, nibble caulerpa roots and ends, and munch on red slime. I swear, this little guy has a diet like a blue linkia---no-see-um slime.

Anybody have any reports on theirs' feeding habits? Makes you wonder if these little guys have a venomous spike or two: everything else that noshes caulerpa ['cept my urchin] is a little venomous, some say from the accumulated caulerpa-toxin.

I have 2 in seperate tanks.
Both sift sand. One picks on algae but never eats anything else, while the other eats frozen cyclopeez and mysids.

Individual tastes vary.
