Has anyone kept these two in the same tank? I would like to try. I have a 56 gal column with plenty of LR covered in plenty of algae and such. Thoughts?

They should be fine together in a tank that size. Neither is particularly aggressive and as long as there is enough microfauna they should be good.

You mention having plenty of live rock, both of these fish benefit from having plenty of open sand space as they sift it as part of their natural behavior.

I have one of each in my 400 gallon. No problems at all, not even when they encounter each other.

Awesome! I do have plenty of rock, but my aquascaping leaves open sand as well. I have some marine safe man made decorations to break it up. One of which is a colloseum with the inside being open. Thanks for the input!
