my clowns laid eggs this afternoon for the second time this month. I want to try and raise them if it's isn't too much work. Anyways, does anyone have a good simple reference link to a "how to raise clownfish fry" site.
I suggest "Clownfishes" by Joyce Wilkerson and "Conditioning, Spawning and Rearing of Fish With Emphasis on Marine Clownfish" by Frank Hoff. Both cover the subject in depth.
You can make money on raising clowns in bulk, but you won't be quitting your day job or moving up into another income tax bracket.
I spent so much money on yellow watchman gobies, I couldn't say how much money I lost just on the clowns, but I will definately not turn a profit on one batch.
It's not a dumb question, just a very large one. (And one a bit beyond the scope of me sitting a Wi-Fi spot in the Panda Express in the Cincinnat airport.) There are many different ways to go about it. Reading in the Fish Breeding forum and the Clownfish forum will give you an idea of different raising methods and the associated equipment.
