What does evryone use to raise their mag level.I need to raise a 300 gal. system from 1170 to 1320 and I don't want to add epsom salt if possible.

i use seachem reef complete it maintains calcium, magnesium, and strontium. That for a 100 gallon system though.

Oh, and I keep mine little on the higher side about 1450 to 1500 ppm. Anytime it drops below 1400 ppm the bryopsis starts to come back.

Easiest place to get the Mag Flake is online from Bulk Reef. I have hardly ever seen it locally.... I need some as well if you find any.

bulkreefsupply is probably the easiest. Using straight epsom is fine for small tweaks and with large regular water changes is probably fine and will keep too much sulphate from accumulating. Best bet is to get some MgCl. If you have a commercial address to deliver to, harveysalt.com is where I bought mine.

reeferhead where do you buy your mag flake?

BulkReefSupply

I think I bought 8 lbs about a year ago. With my current tank, and the rate I'm using it, it will likely last me about 25 years!
