Great thread. If you want a little info to refine your technique I would recommend the book How to Raise and Train Your Peppermint Shrimp by April Kirkendoll.

i have that book. definitely a good read that answered a lot of my questions.

actually, i feel as if i may have refined her technique. i made a larva collector out of acrylic that can fit any tank size, i used her larva collector as the base of my design. i also do my water changes different. i drip new saltwater into the larval tank VERY slowly.

and a quick note, i had the shrimp settle at a salinity of 1.030. something i thought was interesting.

reading her book gave me a huge head start. i also had help from others who have done this.
