To me this is one of the most amazing symbiotic relationships in the reef aquarium. Hope you enjoy!

awesome video.

I love my tiger pistol so much as well. That guy is a bull dozer and moves large piles of sand at a time. I could watch him all day long.

That is awesome! I love this symbiotic relationship as well. Does your candy cane pistol ever turn around and "spray" sand out of the tunnel?

Excellent video! That pistol is so tiny! My tiger pistol is a bulldozer when it comes to moving sand. Your candy pistol is so dainty!

Thanks for posting this..It is amazing to watch. what intelligence in creation.

I just bought a yellow watchman goby about a week ago, in hopes of getting a pistol shrimp for him...I put the goby in the tank...he glided behind some rocks..and I have not seen head nor tail of him since...guess I will get another one.

Thanks for all the compliments. This is an awesome pair.

Korrine - I don't have any sand in my system, but I have seen tiger pistols do that in other systems. IDK whether the candy pistol would with the same affect based on it's tiny size.

theDeedo - I too have suffered the disapperance of a goby...or two...or is that three???? Every goby that quickly disappeared on me eventually turned up as a crispy mummy on the floor. I'm sure you know these fish are notorious jumpers especially in the first 72 hours or so while they are getting settled. I hope yours is just hiding, but if not, don't get discouraged. I think that since these two were paired up when I got them that was the key to their success in my system. I dropped them in near a large rock just before lights out since the only fish I have in the system that is active at night is a small bandgaii, and the shrimp immediately started to burrow. By lights on they had staked their claim. No chance for my bigger fish to scare a goby that has a nice burow to retreat to! They both seem very content. So I wish you good luck if you do try another goby and hope you are fortuanate enough to find one that is already paired with his/her shrimp.

I broke out the macro lens to get a little more eye candy. Got a good shot of the Randall's, but I only got one chance for my pistol, and it was out of focus. Will try again tommorow. In the mean time Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

That was an absolutely beautiful video. Randall’s Gopy and crystal shrimp in a beautiful reef aquarium was mind blowing. I think the video was edited but still it was worth it. I hope someone could post more videos like this. I for one learned two fishes name Randall’s Gopy and crystal shrimp. I would like to know the name of the yellow fish that seem to be in some shorts of the video.

Great photo. My favorite shrimp goby though I've never kept any kind. I've heard they're not good with jaws. CHEERS.
