Randall's Goby eating enough?

Boyfriend got me a Randall's Goby. Online research says they are easy. But this little guy, I just don't know. He's been in QT for 15 days now. He should be getting to know me and learning to beg for good, right? But he just sits there. He ignores me. He ignores the food. Unless it blows past his face, then he eats it. But he doesn't actively hunt for food at all. I've been feeding frozen brine shrimp, frozen mysis and sometimes frozen krill chopped up. I tried live brine shrimp a couple times. He seemed to like it, but he waited for them to go by, he didn't go all over grabbing as many as he could catch like most fish.

Is this normal? I worry he doesn't get enough food.

dip food in garlic extract for a while before you feed. You can also try spot feed with a turkey baster to make sure the goby gets some.

Randall's goby is a watchman. Watchmen typically only eat stuff that blows past. He'll probably lunge up more if you put him in a safe place where he can hide in a cave, but he's probably never going to be one of those fish that chases food down and attacks it.
