I just recently got this fish exactly one week ago from BZ. From their page the estimate it may take up to a week for the fish to get used to his new home and start eating. Well today is one week and I have still not seen him eat. I have tried targeting him with the sample food they send (which is what they feed their tanks) as well as thawed Mysis, flake soaked in garlic, fauna soft pellets, and fine formula two pellets. Food has also been soaked in Selcon and no avail. I have seen him pass really big "poops" for lack of a better term, but as of now I have seem this twice in the past week. Is it possible that he is eating when the lights are fully out at night. I have checked on the tank at night before and no one seems active at all. I should also mention that this is a BB QT tank but there are two shallow 4x8 lids with sand in them for him (though he has never even set fin in them). I'm looking for any help. BZ said they would warranty them for one week and that week is up. I do have an email into them I sent last night so come Monday I'm hoping they will respond and be true to their word.

I will take any suggestions at this point as I hate to see a fish slowly starve to death.

I would suggest that if the fish shows no sign of any disease, go ahead and put it in your display tank. I have one that lives under a rock. Even if I remove that rock and smooth out the sand under it and put the rock back, it goes back and builds a home under the same rock. I think it needs a rock to build a burrow under and not just a lid with sand.

Mine usually stays close to the rock but will go pretty far away at feeding time.

Just wanted to let you know that things are looking up. I just came home and haven't seen the tank since I put him in on Saturday morning. He not only is still alive but has also paired up with my missing tiger pistol. Tonight I feed the tank and seen him eat a chunk of mysis that landing on the coral in front of his new hole.

I bought a Midas Blenny a week ago and he has a yellow tail but his body is brown. I know they change color when they're stressed, almost zebra like. But will the body of the Midas Blenny eventually change to yellow or maybe even blue?
