What's left of a suicidal RBTA.

He was at it again the other day. Jail break!

Had this been a bigger PH, it would have been RIP. I was able to save his dumb a$$ once again.:headwallblue::facepalm:

Starfish kicked back on sofa watching tv...:D

After a long 72 day fallow period, my clowns will be returning to the DT.

New B/W mated pair I picked up yesterday!

Before and after Tx of one of the 4 new Mags. Sold the other that looked like him.

And wouldn't ya know it. The Mag from the 1st Propagation is still hanging in there.

This little turd loves the glass. He will not stay on the reef for anything. I've turned my flow off for 4 hours and he'll anchor in and then 2 hours later he's back on the glass in same spot. He must really like that area back there. :headwally:

My two Gigantea:

I Think this is a hybrid mixed with Haddoni.

RBTA are the worst to get chewed in PH. They inflate and float right into them. Smh....

Mine was floating right next to the haddoni yesterday. Rbta are beautiful nems, but really hate them when they are floating and walking so much. Sometimes it just don't want to stay put.

Just bought a vortech to change over the koralia, will install it today. There will be new flow in the tank. I think it will on the move again the rbta. Always after a very little flow change it will on the move again.

If it's floating it's the best opportunity you have to place it in an ideal spot.

If you see a nice roundish hole in a rock that is proportionate to the size of the anemone, turn off the flow, place it there, (use surgical rubber gloves) and try to hold it in place gently until you see the foot attaching to the hole entrance. Ideally try to 'trap' it with a transparent glass (so you can see through) or plastic container. Do this manually, meaning keep your hand on the glass until you see the anemone planting it's foot and column into the hole, then remove the glass/container.

I've done this to 8 bta's with 100% success, none moved. However, you need to plan ahead making sure the area is not too bright and tweak the flow so that it is not getting blasted especially during the acclimation period. Once it's securely attached after a few days or better a few weeks, you can do flow adjustments without worrying too much. As long as the column and foot are protected on at least one side, they will most likely stay put. They like holes and wedge shaped crevices, as long there are no sharp edges. I have 4 species in one tank and all have different flow requirements. I have 4 mp10's ensuring they are all happy :p
