Cool thanks I didn't know that the 24-85 was a macro lens
I have a tamron 90mm as well, but without a tripod, it's hard to get great shots. i prefer handheld, don't like tripods while photographing my tank, i can't move around or keep up with moving things, but it's good for coral shots.
I disagree with you somewhat here, having the 90 myself some great shots can be had hand held. Super close up macro shots - not so much, but great shots of fish, coral colonies etc. can still be had.
