I am mixing up his Magnesium recipe and he calls for a specific brand of magnesium chloride hexahydrate by Dead Sea Works. I found a tub of lab grade 100% magnesium chloride hexahydrate by another manufacturer. His recipe calls for 5 cups of the DSW brand. My question is, will I still use the 5 cups of the lab grade 100% magnesium chloride hexahydrate? Is the Dead Sea Works also 100% or a leaser potency? I could not find an answer on their site.

Couldn’t find potentcy either but found this from 2017 -

“That material is certainly good enough, yes. Just use it slowly when boosting magnesium substantially since it may have some ammonia in it.”

DIY Magnesium Recipe - Dead Sea Works Replacement Options?

Hi, I can't seem to find retailers near me that carry Dead Sea Works mag pellets or flakes. Would magnesium chloride hexahydrate through a pharmacy be a suitable replacement? Link below is for example.. Did anyone find a cost effective replacement for DIY magnesium. Thanks in advance...

This site says the dead sea product is technical grade which is the lowest. Lab grade is only slightly more pure. I don't think it will matter to the recipe.
