Rant

Cap bay is really gone? I was going to Atlanta next weekend just to go to Cap Bay, err... I mean a wedding.

When did it go under?

I went in early August and got an armload of stuff. My dad was in Atl near the middle of September and was going to go by and get me a few more items. Doors locked, nothing inside but some wooden stands.

The story is that the main, working partner was out of town when the other partner pulled the plug. Apparently they hadn't even told any employees, and did a 40% off sale without saying it was a G-O-O-B sale. They didn't even tell people with huge (like $800) store credits who were in the shop that weekend.

Wow, that seems really really stupid. I would have driven the 5 hour round trip if i had known they were having a 40% GOOB sale... Sounds like a stupid move on their part to me. Sounds like something else must be going on.

OK I just decided to check this out and I agree with TheOwn4g3. I've worked with him and he pretty much pin pointed everything that pretty much went down at designs. When I was there I enjoyed chattin to real reefers about their tanks and everything fish related all day. Heck there were times when I did that and the bossman would be mad at me cause I wasn't "working" hahaha. But yea I hear ya about the "i want that colorful flowery thingy" people too that kinda irritated me especially when I tell them what it is.

I to hate to go to a store with no price posted C-L-E-A-R-L-Y
I used to write the name and price with marker where it would be in front of the coral when you looked at the coral price or name change was simple wipe off write on some times small shops have time and help issues but to make no efort to provide clear price id i dont go back
