Rapid Breathing?

I just purchased my first marine fish yesterday, two false percs (tank raised),and I followed proper acclimation. (Floated bags, and drip acclimated for a couple of hours, until water volume doubled.) The two clowns appear to be breathing rapidly, what would a normal respiration rate be? Tank has been thoroughly cycled for a couple of months (Xenia looks great) and water parameters are good. 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 0 Nitrates, 8.3 ph, 1.025 spg., 0 phosphates. Could they just be stressed?

Thanks in advance.

do you have water flow on the top of the tank so the water inst stagnit. If you dont they could be getting no oxygen do to no gas exchange. turn a power head so its facing the top of the tank

+1 i agree with Kodiak, make sure you have your water oxygenated enough. Make sure there is a good ripple at the surface of the water.

I have 2 Koralia 3's moving the surface, and with my overflow and sump I know have more than adequate gas exchange. The larger of the two has a more normal rate of breathing today but the smaller of the pair is still breathing quickly.
