Rare monti caps.

I have two Montipora caps in my reef (not rare, just colorful)....and unfortunately, they are both starting to take up too much of my existing reef real-estate.

The first colony is the Tyree Strawberry Patch followed by the Tyree Idaho Grape.

^ LOL this guy. All you have to do to get bad *** sps is go swimming on your south western coast.

Haha, I'd rather not go to prison for some corals ;) Steve does raise a good point though, it's not that we don't have them in our local waters, it's just that here (as in, here on the east coast) they all get shipped overseas before we even get to see 'em. Danged foreigners stealing all our good livestock! :P

That thing is crazy! What a super nice Monti.

I picked it out from amongst a bunch of awesome hot pink/purple/black/white/red/blue ones... it was pretty special.

And risk going straight to jail or being finned around $50 000 per piece of coral obtained

If you knew anything about coral collection in Australia you would know that it is heavily regulated and controlled.

here in NH the local fish stores never seem to carry it. maybe the ORA purple
caps sell before i see them. but since ORA has it.. it cannot be that hard to
get locally if i wanted it.
