RARE TO YOU Frag Swap

I got it now. Sorry for the trouble. LET THE TRADES BEGIN!

BTW, Kenzo you are not a member of the group. Please apply (or reapply).

BTW, Pam, please reapply with your screen name in the notes field. I've turned down a few that I was unsure of.

okay, been a busy day/evening but finally got signed up to the group and got stuff fragged and got a couple extra smaller frags of the fire engine as well as some other stuff.. hopefully there's some corals left to trade?.. :D

I can't quite figure out how that group thing works...my scattered brain can't keep track of who is responding to who, lol. I tried to post to diesle but don't know if it worked...oh well. I'll try again.

Yeah, it's a little confusing at first... and I'm an IT guy!

I think it's easier to track threads through email. But to do it eaiser on the site, click on messages (on the left), then click the "group by topic" (in the center on the messages header line).

When you click on messages, you'll see at the top 3 links, Simplified, Expanded, (group by topic)

Simplified has it similar to the topics here they simply list the order the come into, with all the RE: from here clicking on a message brings you to that message but if you scroll down to the bottom there's a list of all the messages of that thread including replies.

Expanded makes one huge cluster duck of a mess, it literally lists the text of all the messages on one page.

Group by topic basically grabs all the topics and condenses them more like this message board in that you don't see all the RE:plies as topics, and in the same way as simplified simply scroll down to see all the various replies if you want.

Oh and messages don't instantly pop up after you reply.

BTW - for those that were concerned about the challenge of matching the fist and last person, it was actually very easy to work out. However, I agree with QWIV, and next time will start it off with a list or particular specimen that will be the last person's request.

Cheers!

Thanks for putting this all together Charles, I came back with some fantastic pieces and had an absolute blast... only issue I had was that tuna sandwich in it had in more onions than I care to taste... unfortunately I'm still tasting them *bleh*... but it was fine otherwise :)

I second the big Thank You to Charles for getting this all dialed in. It was great to meet some folks and great to see others I had not seen in a while. It was a total blast and Ocean Treasures was awesome to let us use their facility. looking forward to the next one. I am really happy with the corals I brought home. ALl the side trades were great as well. Lots of very cool corals in hte room.

Charles - echoing what the others said, thanks for putting this all together - it was alot of fun to visit with everyone. Thanks to Ocean Treasures - a really nice store- for letting us use the space - Pam

Yep, thanks to everyone. A fun time for all!

p.s. Mike, all those onions are so you don't have to taste the canned tuna :D

Ditto what they all said (except for the onion comments :)). Thanks Charles for pulling this together. We definitely came away with some nice pieces, not a lemon in the bunch !! :)

Hi,
This is James from Ocean Treasures and we wanted say that we really enjoyed hosting the swap and it was great meeting everyone. Thanks to Charles for all his hard work. Hopefully we can host future events.

All,

I had a great time too and really appreciated meeting you all.

Special thanks to Justin, James, and Ian at OT for hosting and hospitality.
