Rare?

I am currently setting my 65g up again after a recent crash, and I was wondering which fish are considered rare right now and are reef safe?

Any ideas?

There are a lot of rare fish out there but just because some thing is rare doesn't mean that it's the best or nicest looking fish to have. A lot of the regular fish are just as nice or nicer than some of the rare fish, and a lot cheapier.

I have a yellow pyramid bf. aka zoster bf. They are one of the few reef safe bfs out there. Only because they are suspension feeders and eat plankton in the wild. They are hard to come by, not nessesarily rare. Collectors only catch them maybe twice a year, and are just stunning. I am the only one I know that has them, and I know a lot of people in Oregon.

I understand that, I was just wondering which fish out there are considered rare at the moment.

Three-line Basslet, Stripey, Spotted Drepane, Lemonpeel, Bluestreak cleaner wrasse, Long nose tang.

*edit*

The buttefly fish wasn't a good suggestion :D It was removed.

Palani I have been considering the Pyramid Butterfly for some time, if I can ever get my hands on some. Do you have any pics? Are they really beautiful in person?

Here is a very rare one for you. Had it now for over two months so far 100% reef safe.

I paid $140.00 from Atlantis, it might be more now. It will be fine on your tank, non aggressive but can take care of himself. Seems to prefer frozen food and is not shy about eating. Donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t know what you Mandarin eats but this one is always hunting for pods/things on the live rock so it might decimate the pods that you Mandarin would eat. They are jumpers. Biggest problem is that they usually go to the Japanese market for what I can tell.
Atlantis (one of the sponsors here) got two a couple of month ago, I got one and Ming ( the owner) kept the other one for his tank and then they had another one come in about three weeks ago. You might to contact Ming at Atlantis and see if he can get you one.
