Barry fm Clamsdirect had a crocea with really weired colors.


For me there can be only one: BLUE SQUAMIE.

Where did you get the B/W maxima? Been looking for one...

I don't remember where I got that particular b/w maxima. However, 2 years ago, the they were coming in much more often, wild from Ponphei. At one point I had 8 or 9 of these pure black and whites. Then again, 2 years ago, all the Ponphei max's there were coming in were sick. Now finding these guys is near impossible, unless the farms start mass producing them again.

please correct me if I am wrong but I have seen Several Derasa clams and I have never seen one like this before... Its one of my Big clams at approx 10-12" that I picked up from the LFS a few months back..

What kind of lighting is that teardrop under?

It's under 2x110 watt Vho's (one white+one 03) and a Hamilton 14k 250 watt MH. In the old pics it was under 440 watts vho but I have since up graded.

Cool find! Its hard to find tear drops with color other than the blaw brown gold colorations! Would love to find some as well!
