Rastas

Mine have been pretty hardy. Hardy in the sense they haven't been treated very kindly by me and they are still alive, and finally starting to grow again. Dealt with some algae issues that come and go, knocked them off the rock they had been glued to and had to take them out to glue them back. They weren't spreading but they weren't melting either. Just popped out a new head so feeling hopeful that continues.

Mine are very happy 8" from 6x39w T5s just to the side of a high flow spot. Started with a 6 polyp head on 3/18 and now have 9 polyps. I feed reef roids to my tank 3x/wk and a few of the polyps seem to be getting some food as i feed.

great sounds like you found the happy place for them

It would seem so! They seem to be pretty content. I noticed a new head growing in tonight. Since the other 3 came in together, I'm wondering if 2 others (or more) will grow in at the same time as this new head :)

They're my only zoas in the tank thus far. I'm considering getting a few more rarer zoas to add to the tank and making a small garden on one side of the tank. My LFS has a variety of beauties available. Any suggestions for my next frag?

The rastas look great! I'll have to pick some of those up.

I just picked up some bam bams, fruit loops, and a single polyp head of magician? I'm wondering if stores just make these up as they get them in. I'll try to get some pictures of them. It's amazing what they charge for just a couple polyps. Luckily zoanthids have done well in my tank.

That's awesome! I've been wanting some fruit loops, but haven't come across them yet. The prices for the zoas is definitely a bit crazy but so far worth it. I might go for sunny d's next. My lfs always has those available ;)

Some stores most certainly do. Though those three are pretty well established names.

My rasta's have grown an insane amount right on the bottom of the tank. They don't reach for any light where as my sunny d's I can not get them any higher in the tank and they love it up there.
But everyone's tank is different. I generally start all zoas down low and if they stretch out then they get moved up.
