I'm doing a water change today and installing my new pumps. I currently have 2 Tunze 6100's and 2 Vortech MP40es'

How should I position the pumps? I was thinking the Tunze 6100's in the top back corners and the tunze pumps in the center blowing across length wise. (no Idea on what mode though)

The tank will be full SPS and LPS/Softies in the sand.

Very nice look.
I have a local pet store that has almost the same config, just in a bigger tank but the scape is the same. They have have theirs with two pumps, one in each top rear conor pointing towards the front. They have a bunch of SPS at the top and softies on the sides and at the center bottom with a clam. All sees to be pretty happy in there, so my vote would be for that.

Good Luck

if you're going to use the sync functions of the vortech's i think they recommend putting them on either end facing each other and blowing across the tank. that's how i set mine up and they work awesome. not sure though if the tunze's are more powerful.

It looks amazing - and it looks like you built it with an eye for coral placement too. I'd love to see updates later. How is the stability of the rock?

Sorry I don't have much advice to offer on the PH - I would start with exactly what you suggested though. Play with the different modes and you'll find one that works for you. Mine is often in reef crest mode but I change it over to nutrient export from time to time - it works exceptionally well in a small tank like mine where I have the overflow opposite my vortech.

it looks very nice....i like how you have the little tunnels and cave for fish many places to put coral....it truely does look good....once you add fish, corals, etc. youll have to show us how it looks!

Can you remove the white rock on the bottom far right and the white rock middle top in the back then take that small rock that is supporting the flat one in front of the middle white one and move it on top with the other one that looks just like it?

I think it looks really good otherwise.

Not a big fan. Large rock wall JMO so dont take it personally. For sure remove the large white rock on the bottom.

i did something like this one time and i had a cave in. needless to say some of my colonies ended up as a bunch of frags. i would never do it again without some epoxy. just something to think about.

This is the sort of 'scape that's not so much in vogue lately, as people go for less rock and more open space. When I first looked, I thought "Hmm, that's a bit rock wall-esque for my taste".

However the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. You've got tons of space there for coral placement, a really good display platform for them as they grow out and actually more variety in the construction than the term "rock wall" would imply.

If you can reassure yourself on the stability issue, I'd rate this highly.
