Rate my Scape

SOrry I didnt expect this to take off lol - 90% of the rock is epoxied and also drilled traight through with clear Acrylic rods. They are almost invisble. The idea that I had was actually wanted places to put coral frags and have them grow out. I had a lot of DEPTH to work with buy I wanted less focus to be drawn to the 2 rear over flows. The caves were necessary. I plan to have a few fish that need space and escape routes if they get all ****y.

It's great that the rocks are secure. I can't tell they're epoxied or drilled, and can't see the acrylic rods so you did a great job with that.

If you have space in the sump, I'd move some rocks to the sump so that it opens some more swimming space for the fish. It looks a little crowded right now, but the whole look will change regardless when you add corals!

I finally worked out my water movement - i downgraded my tunzes to the 7210 transformer and ran that at 50% in each Corner synced using a custom program. I moved the Vortech's to 3/4 of the way into the middle of the tank and left them on the green setting. I haven't played with them.

A lot of people have told me to get rid of that rock in the right hand corner. The reason for that rock is because soon it will be colonized with different Zooanthids. I wanted a place where I could put my Zoo's and have them grow ALL over and eventually cover the rock.

I plan to "plant"

Armor of God
Watermelon
Tubbs Blue
and any others that I can find.

I think that big white rock looks fine there. It just stands out now because it's new, but once it's encrusted by coralline (and zoos), it'll blend in with the rest of the scape.

JMO, I like the shape of the design but think you could do without some of the rock as it tends to look a bit wallish and forced together which tends to loose the natural look. Again JMO

Good luck with it.

...its not "trendy" ... I mean the "in crowd" seems to do 2 islands "minimalist" thing with a ton of space in between OR they do a single arch connecting 2 islands ...

but personally I'm doing the ole skool "Wall look" myself...

OTOH with all that rock is the opportunity to trap detrius et....IME, it doesn't hurt to have a lil flow behind that wall

Its perfect for a rock wall look, might not be the in thing, but it will look great when grown in. Smart move making sure its all secured, don't want that thing toppling, could end up with rock through the front of the tank

too many different types of rock pieced together. I would go with one type of rock (at most two) and see if you can't get it to look more natural.
