Well this sucks, I bought my camera used at a camera store W/out the driver, and the only downloadable driver FOR this camera is for WINDOWS XP!

The only reason i bought this was because its older, cheaper, and if i really like this photography thing, wouldnt you have done the same? oh well.

Thanks everyone. i appreciate it alot. thanks

Sorry about your camera. Do you have Vista? I think you can still make it work. Vista can run a program as if it was XP.

I tried to download it, but it came up with a browse, and unzip. id click browse, put it where i want it, unzip, ( 29 items zipped! ) and then click X.......Where'd it go?! haha

What am I missing? Driver? For what? Are we just talking about decoding a RAW file? If so there are many programs to do that, especially if the camera is older.

I think Picasa (free software made by Google) can work with RAW files as well.

I am not familiar with that particular software. However, when dealing with RAW conversion there are a few things to look at. Exposure (sometimes called brightness) - adjusted so that you get the most detail without the highlights going pure white (lost detail). Color Balance (or temperature) - adjusted to compensate for the "films" inabilty to deal with color cast created from certain light sources. Adjusted so that it most replicates the scene as you saw it (or as you want it to be creatively). Sharpening - this can get pretty technical and a lot of people do it in PS or other software specifically for it (or use masks and multiple passes - but that is technical). For now I would just adjust the slider (assuming there is one) to your visual preferance. There can be more to it but that is the basics.

I would do a google search for RAW conversions. MAybe even for that specific software. I am sure there is a ton of free info out there. Experiment and have fun. That is one of the beauties of digital.
