So I've had an RBTA with 2 Maroon Clowns in a 40G breeder for about 15 months. The RBTA hasn't moved from its same spot since it settled in early on. It's been getting big of late and it finally split. I was actually surprised it hadn't split earlier. But then 2 days later it is now 3 RBTA's. They are all on rocks very close together. Is this a bad sign? I haven't added anything to the tank in forever. Same lighting etc. The RBTA does end up getting a lot of mysis shrimp. I do have a young child in the house now so water changes are usually every other week (i.e. Less frequent than before) but the tank only has the two fish. I only say that because I've read that splitting can be due to bad water quality. So figured I'd mention it.
