RBTA acting strange.

I have an RBTA that moved to the bottom of a rock around 6 weeks ago and seems to like it there.

It's in a 29g BC. I have read that they will move under a rock or into the shade if they are put into a tank with more light than it's used to. The trouble with mine is that this tank has less light. I have upraded the lighting to 144w from 72w, but it's still just PC lighting.

The GSMs would be the only thing that could even get food to it, so I have no way of feeding it or even seeing if it's still sticky.

Do I leave him alone or try to move it. Moving it would require pretty much taking the tank apart.

I have 6100s, 6000s or K4s, all of them are going to make a heck of a mess of a 29 gallon. Is it all right to leave him alone or do I need to do something? This doesn't seem to be a good survival trait for them.

if its going to mess it up then no try movinng some of the rock around it you may be able to feed it then or it will move

I would leave it!! If you want tto feed it get a turkey baster and thaw some frozen mysis blood worms etc. and poit it in the dirction of the anemone, it will get what it wants and alll will be well! If you want a sand storm poit away.
But on the other hand you did just get new lights! So allow the anemone to adjust to the new watts. There going to do what they want so if you just sit back and take the back seat, in time alll you will have to do is watch intakes and move the rest of your corals around your anemone!
Good luck:bum:

It can take quite some time for an anemone to get used to any tank changes. If it is fine where it is, then leave it. Besides, it might move right back to were it is if you do get it to move. The turkey baster idea is a good one. When my husband got a new RBTA, it hid in the rock work for almost 3 weeks before it decided to grace us with its presence.

the only reason i recommend trying to get it move is the feeding thing because although mysic or brine my suffice the anemones will certainly be hungry
