RBTA budding??

I came home today and found a one inch section of RBTA tentacle on a separate rock. It is attached and seems to be alive. The "mother" is about 10" across and appears very healthy. I read through the anemone FAQ and I read about anemone asexual reproduction (slpitting, budding). Could this be what budding would look like? Or does my RBTA have leprosy?

No, this is probably just a mechanical separation/injury. Sometimes happens by itself, but usually a clown or powerhead is at fault. Budding looks like a full formed mini-anemone attached to the parent (usually on the underside of the oral disk).
