Hello,

Does anyone know or have experience of being able to keep a Rose Bubble Tip Anenome in PC lighting in a nano tank? I have the 96watt 50/50 PC quad fixture and I believe it can be done but I'm not completely sure and would like to know if any others have been successful or have experiences with this situation... thanks.

Yes it can. the lighting would be great but I see you have a
10 gallon?
Is that the tank you are reffering to?
Anything under 20 gallons it will outgrow quickly as they can get huge.

I kept a BTA in a 10 for 3 years. I didn't feed him much which I'm sure had something to do with it not growing much. Just be prepared to move him or frag him if it grows too much.

edit: I had him unde the coralife 50/50 96w PC quad bulb.

In my 75 I have 3 RBTA (two are clones from the first one) I have had the first one for just over 2 years now, I have 330 watts of PC (all 50/50 bulbs from Hellolights)

If you are going to keep this species of anemone under PC lighting, make sure you feed him small pieces of meaty foods a couple times a week.

okay thanks, I will be able to frag him if/when he does get bigger and splits or just gets too big for the tank... I'm still not fully decided on it yet anyway... but i'll be able to move him into another tank when he outgrows this one.. but I'll try and keep his feeding to a minimum to limit growth... I'll most likely have a pair of clowns in it so they'll help with feeding too

If you plan to keep him in the 10g. Dont feed him, just keep premium water quality, flow, and moderate lighting...If you start to feed it so much the will outgrow your tank just like they outgrew my 60g.

A lot of people have had luck cutting BTAs. The only time I've tried I just ended up with a 2 mouthed BTA.

So would I be able to keep an anemone in the following setup:
55g with 260watt pc lighting? The bulbs would be 2x10k and 2xactinic
