RBTA dying - help

I picked up the beautiful RBTA last weekend from Jeff. Seemed to do well the first couple of days but then yesterday/today it is not looking good at all. I was out of town and the Mrs didn't notice it but said it looked fine Wed, Not extending almost at all (looks shriveled though on occasion it extends some); the red color still good. I know my Ca and Alk are low (working on that) but otherwise parameters are fine (the other RBTA I have is fine).
Any suggestions or is it wait, see, hope?

yea dont panic yet, they do that once in a while and the stress of moving might have contributed. mine do that once in a while...

Maybe it was just taking a big dump.....it looked like it was coming back to life a bit late last night (main lights off, actinics on). And looks real full this AM (no lights). Maybe it doesn't like the main light or was just pooping...will monitor.

Thanks all.

I just got one from Jeff too. It was doing great until I started cooking my tank when my skimmer pump seized. All is back to normal now and he looks great again.
BTW, Jeff said he never fed it he just dumped the tank feeding over it. I tried to give mine Some pieces of cut-up table shrimp and he rejected it pushing it out. I later tried to give it a silver side and he rejected that too. I guess I will do the same as Jeff, it worked great for him.

BTW2 Thanks again Jeff.

Stop hurting my babies you guys!! ;)

LOL... Yeah I moved mine from one apartment to another and they did not look good at all for days thought I was going to lose them, then it decided to split TWICE! now I have 5 that are still recovering..... :sad2:... But that's normal fr them to do that time is all you need.:smurf:

Jeff's anemone's are really hearty stock. I very rarely feed ours anything, but when I do it's usually small foods like mysis or spectrum pellets.

just FYI when you do feed your anemones, its much better for them to eat very small cut up peices. its easier for them to digest and they dont have such a hard time with it. the smaller the better
