RBTA expelled entire silverside skeleton???

i just came home after being out all day. my 2 week old RBTA's foot has been in exact same spot since the 1st day, and his tentacles within same 2-3" area. when i came home, i noticed his tentacles were alittle moved and his foot moved a couple inches. his color and everything looked same, except his tentacles looked slightly shorter. then i noticed the silverside he swallowed yesterday, it's skeleton w/ very little meat was stuck to TUNZE inlet. some time in last 6 hrs the rbta expelled the skeleton and slightly moved. is this normal? the silverside was the biggest 1 it's had but nothing crazy. i even cut the tail off. i'm not sure if it deflated or not while i was gone. only other difference in tank lately was that i added 8 acro frags last night. that has no bearing on the rbta, but that's the only thing different. all parameters on point and all flow and lighting the same.

i wonder if it stressed him causing it to move some. it had not moved it's foot since first day.

In my opinion, silversides should be cut into pieces no large than ¼ inch prior to feeding a BTA. The amount of energy an anemone expends digesting large pieces is not really healthy for it. If you examine the food a BTA eats in the wild, seldom if ever does it capture a whole fish.

Some people even believe over feeding can cause them to die. Whether this is true or not I can’t say, but it’s better to err on the side of caution.

i believe overfeeding can cause death as this is what i believed happened to my last nem 1 year ago. i will stick to smaller pieces from now on, 2 times/week at most.
