RBTA for sale...$20 Gilroy.

I started out with one the size of a quarter a year ago for my 20G, and now I have four almost tennis-ball sized.

They got bleached this summer during the heat-wave but have recovered nicely, except that the tips still show a little white (want you to know before you come).

If you can come to Gilroy on Saturday afternoon - I'll sell up-to three of them for $20 each.

As an aside, if anyone knows how to get them off of a rock to help me keep them healthy for this sale, I would be grateful.

I sold 2 before and they are very difficult to nearly impossible to get off the rock without damaging their foot....

I basically traded them with the rock they were on. the other one I chipped the rock they were on.

A friend of mine gets them to move with ice ???? slow process I think , never tried that method before though...

Do you have any photos? I might be interested as well.

Ditto.

I wanted to move mine one time so I got a small piece of bowl rock from the LFS and set it on the right side of the anemone up against his base, then placed a power head on his left side pointed at the rock where he was attatched, and a few hours later he had already climbed over the new rock I put in, and onto the next rock, which is a base rock with a cave in it, and he was half way into the cave when I peeked in, another few minutes and I may have been waiting a long time to see him again.

I've tried various methods, and here are my observation:
If the nem is entrenched in a crevice where you can't even see its foot, then there's nothing you can do but to remove that whole rock. If you can get the rock out, it's definitely the preferred method.
If the nem is out in the open, I gently ***** at its foot with something soft like a credit card. I can usually get it off in about 5-10 minutes and it will recover nicely (expand and form bubble tips) in a few hours.
I've tried ice with no success.
Pointing a PH at its foot is hit and miss for me. More often than not, it simply moved to another location where it's as difficult to get it off. On a couple occasions, it caused some serious damage to some of my acros. Fortunately, it seems like they never moved on their own - knock on wood.

BTW, if you have aggressive clowns like maroons or tomatoes hosting the Roses, you'll have some fun messing with their homes.

nice tank...

and very clean too :) I notice that you don't have any LS in your main tank. Most people do and most LFS do. What are the pros and cons to have LS in the main tank? anyone? TIA.
