So I added a small RBTA to my established 3 year old 40 breeder reef.
My water parameters are all good:
0 ammonia, nitrites, maybe 2-5 nitrates
7 dkH alkalinity
420 calcium
I run a maxspect razor which peaks at 35w45b and have many soft corals and LPS that are doing well for me as well as 1 tester SPS frag. I added the RBTA about a month ago and placed him on the underside of ledge where there is medium indirect flow where he could "reach out" and grab light. I did this because I have had issues with new additions to my tank getting too much light and not doing well initially. I dripped the anemone on introduction, and it has looked alright in the time it has been in there. It has eaten a small bit of dinner shrimp twice and the tentacles are very sticky. I am not sure why bu I feel like it is not inflating fully and it doesn't really come out of the shadows of the ledge.
I know that they will move to where they are happy, but I can barely see this guy. Did not pay $$$ for him to hide in the shadows lol. Is this a sign of an issue, or will he move eventually?
