RBTA Light requirements

Anyone have a t5 suggestion for a bowfront tank?

Measure your canopy and then look at the fixture measurements listed on retailers' websites that sell T5 fixtures.

You might be able to fit four 48" T5 bulbs across the [back] rectangular portion of your tank and then two 24" T5 bulbs across the [front] bowed part of the tank.

But seriously, all you've got to do is measure!

Yeah, I know I have to measure it. But it seems that they are either way to big or to small. I would like just to have one fixture. Is a TEK 4 bulb enough for my tank? The 6 would hang over about a 1.5''.

I keep all my BTA's (both rose and green) under PC's and they are doing great. BTAs are one of the more hardy anenomes (short of condy's) that seems to have a better chance surviving in the home aquarium. I originally had them under metal halides, but they seemed to stay small and hide from the light. Under the PC, they expand quite a bit more and have started splitting regularly. Most all of the other species of anenomes however generally require metal halides to stand a chance, or at minimum a strong T-5 setup...

Check this website: http://www.karensroseanemones.com/ - Some great info regarding BTAs...

How many watts per gallon are you running?
