RBTA look okay?

Hmmm does this look okay? I fed it some shrimp last night but it didn't accept it. I fed it some more this morning and it took some. Now it is doing this.

Hammer coral is finally coming out... It doesn't look so hot.

happens. BTA will hide and move to where they are comfortable.. in your case, shaded.. it will slowly move out. Might take months.. it should still be reaching out to get some light.

feeding is not necessary. I would just leave it be and not feed for awhile. If it goes further and further back into the rocks (to the point where you can't see it), then it's your call to intervene or not.. one of mine went in and never came out.

keep your parameters stable and you will be ok.

Well, when first introduced it to the tank, it hid behind the tank underneath a rock. It was hanging upside down and did not seem to be getting any lighting. I took the advice of advanced hobbyist and left it be. Yesterday it moved out of that spot and now it's on this spot. It hasn't moved since. To me it seems like it doesn't really like light. It sneaks in between cracks and rocks.

As for feeding, I thought they were suppose to be fed 1x a week.

They dont need to be fed. They get it from light. Feeding helps it grow and split. Mine splits every 6 months when fed.

Mine loves light. It just takes awhile to get acclimated to new light

Oh. Okay. Does it also play into affect that the size is smaller than a peanut butter jar lid?

Doesnt matter. My small one is size of a quarter. It hide under a cliff for 2 months. Super bleached. Last week it finally moved to the top of the tank. My large one is 10 inches wide

Phew. Okay I wasn't sure if it was normal for a small one to do that. So if it's hiding it's because it doesn't like too much lighting or because shrimp pick on it?

it's ok happy.. for whatever reason. could be the flow, lighting, etc... they will keep moving until they find a good spot to settle.

I have over 10 shrimps in my tank.. they bother the anemone when feeding, but not enough to ever make it move.

Can the shrimp be eaten or stung?
