rbta shedding its tips?

hi all!

just wondering if someone would be able to "shed" some light on my boyfriend's rbta..

we got the rbta about 2 months ago, she was already a little bleached. (don't know if it was because of the transport or she wasn't doing well to begin with before we got her) when first introduced to the tank, he put the anemone on a rock that was near the middle of the tank, but she decided that she didn't like it there. she moved to the rock next to it, kinda on a sidewards hang, where she stayed since the intial move. just this past saturday, she decided that she wanted to move again, we went out that night and let her be, when we came home, she was gone! we found her close to the sand in the BACK of the tank (i don't know if she was attached to a rock or in the sand, its was really hard to see).

the next day, she started to shed some of her tips! and theres little red bubble tips, majority on the sand. is this normal, that a bta sheds its tips?! now she's attached herself a little more toward the top of the tank but still in the back. she's never fully expanded since the second move. she looks sad! is she dying?!? is there anything we can do to help her?!?

my bf's always had good lighting, and fed her silversides every other day, sometimes 2-3 times/wk. and everything else in the tank is thriving. it's a well established tank that he started from scratch and just learned along the way, about a year and a half ago.

any ideas?!?

I've had problems with mine as well. Make sure that there is nothing it your tank preying on it I guess. They seem to be fairly hit or miss. Mine looked great for 4 months, and now it has seemed somewhat unhappy for a few months. It is shrunken and a little retracted.
