RBTA Shrinks During Water Change

Have an RBTA for over a year in my DT. he is thriving and has grown huge... Today when I added new salt water he shrank into the rocks to about the size of a shot glass. Same water as last change. Maybe just a temp difference in the new water? Just curious if any one else ever sees this.

Try a smaller water change next time. how big % wise was the change that caused him to shrink?

Do you mix and add right away or give it a day to stabilize?

sits in a mixing tub and use it over weeks until it needs refilling.
