RBTA split, and now is hiding. Is this normal?

Upon splitting, half of my RBTA moved into an internal cave in my live rock. It's completely out of the light. The other half stayed right where it was under my 250W MH light in a Lumenbright reflector. The hidden RBTA has been there for 3 days now, without moving.

Is hiding normal?

When will it come out?

Yea, clones will sometimes hide and find a new spot for themselves. I wouldn't really worry unless you haven't seen it for a week +. But they tend to just slowly acclim themselves and return to normal.

They will stay in the back for a while to heal up. It could take a week or more before they come out. just be patient and do a small water change to make sure they have fresh new salt water to help the healing process.

It is normal, but if it doesn't come out in a week or two, you may have to take action. Can't count on them always coming out on their own.

A couple of years ago I was selling some live rock, as I was taking it out of the tank I noticed some small (( bleached )) clones that had stayed on the underside of the rock. All the other BTAs in the tank were doing great.

my large bta just split in into 3 clones and they are hiding much like yours. I would agree with toddrtrex and wait on it
