RBTA split twice in the past month

Okay I'm at a lost for words, so I'm asking for opinions.

My bta had been doing well since I got it 4 months ago. About a month ago, I added some sand that I had in storage because my sand bed was getting low. I made sure to rinse it a lot before adding it, but since then my bta has split and has gone into hiding. So, now I have 2 bta's, and my mother bta is looking like its going to split yet again.

My no3 parameters are zero across the board. I don't have a kit PO3, I'm unsure if the sand is leeching it. I do know that I haven't had a cynao bloom, nor any other kind of algae bloom. In fact, I actually have less nutrients now since I lost my other clown and Royal Gramma.

Do you run carbon? Maybe chemical warfare is occurring. Rbtas are notorious for being the fastest splitting anemone, so this story doesn't sound too odd.

Nope no carbon, and I don't know what else could be fighting chemically with it. The only other in habitants I have are a favia frag, a torch, Xenia, GSP, and 2 zoas and the bta is a ways from all of them.

Hmm. What lighting do you have? What about flow? Have you done a water change recently? I've had my rbtas since April and they hsvent split yet..

I have a 24 in aquatic life t5 w/ati bulbs. I do my 5 gallon wc every saturday. I read these nems split when stressed, but this is ridiculous.

i started with one rbta it split like 8 times i was able to get rid of some but know i have 3 on a piece of base rock and i cant get rid of them just be carefull
