Hello,
Recently my RBTA has been stressed. This has been going on for about 2 weeks now. There have been no changes in my tank before or after the stress has began. The Anemone still eats fine, but will not fully "expand." It sits there either fully deflated (usually when expelling waste) or in a cup shape - see the picture to show what I mean. The Anemone has not moved since this stress began, and only moved about 1 inch from where I placed it when I originally added it on September 22nd. It still eats perfectly fine and has not noticeably lost any color.
Picture:
For lighting I have a 4 bulb T5HO fixture. For flow I have the spray bar of the canister, and AC70, and a Koralia 425. My water parameters are as follows:
pH: 8.2
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 0 ppm
More details about my tank can be found in my tank thread. Click on the picture in my sig to be directed to that.
So, does anybody have any ideas as to what could be causing this stress? Is it even stress, or is it simply just a "stage" that will pass? I am worried about the Anemone. I should also add that my Duncans have not opened up for about 2 weeks too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
