Rbta under rock

I obtained an RBTA clone from someone. The anemone used to live in a 4' 120 gallon tank, under 2x400W metal halide + 4x110W VHO actinic (so tons of light). My tank has 4 T5HOs, which is much less light than what the anemone was used to.

I put the anemone on a rock ledge towards the top of the tank. The anemone decided it liked the underside of the ledge and has spent the last two weeks under the ledge.

My concern is that the anemone has essentially placed itself in a virtually permanent shadow and that as a result, it will get weak and not last long term.

I'm thinking of aiming a powerhead right below the anemone to coax him into a better location. What do you guys think?

if it hasn't come out in two weeks, I'd consider it to be something other than the lighting...

what size tank do you have?
how old is your set-up?
what are your parameters? ie: temp, pH, Ammon, Nitrites, etc...(actual current numbers pleez ;))
do you have any other anemones already in the tank? if so, what species?

well i had a GBTA that took almost a month to finally come out... Then i moved it off the rocks into a seperate rock i had that had a large hole/crevice in it and isolated it in the middle of the sand bed. It moved it's feet into that hole and hasn't moved at all. And this is after i switched it from my 29gal to my 75 gal either.

I'll have to post a pic. I'm worried the anemone is trapped in a situation where external stimuli is not helping it find a better location.

Can't tell you exactly how old the tank is, but it's been up for at least 4 years, even though it went though a recent renovation.

90 gallon bowfront with sump, fuge, and rubble rock remote tanks.

Not sure about the water parameters. Just threw out my test kits as they were expired. Last week alk, ca, and mg were good.

I can't imagine that being a factor, but I will pick up some kits on my way home since I've been meaning to do a check as a result of the updated bio-load (3 nems + 4 fish + some frags - in a 1 month period). That is the only thing in the tank.

Besides not getting enough light (in my opinion - it may disagree!) it is in a spot that makes it difficult to feed. I've got the perfect rock reserved for this anemone. Now I just have to coax it over to it! :D

Hopefully I will have your luck.

Tested the water. Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate is undetectable. PH = 8.2-8.4.

Here is a picture of the anemone. The one at the bottom is shaded a little more than I would like.

I was told the top anemone is an H. Crispa.
