Rbta?

OK so I think this is a RBTA, but now after looking at other pictures of RBTA I can't tell if it is or not. I don't have any pictures of it before it split (split 3 days ago), but now I have 2 and they are each about nickel size.

Thanks, Liz

what can I do to aid them in their growth? I would like to get them big enough for my clowns to (hopefully) host in?

only thing to aid growth is feeding them i use silversids cut up and soaked in selcon Some BTA clone often and stay small some dont it is hard to predict

went to the LPS last night, they were out of silversides and they had never heard of selcon. They did have garlic extreme though.

I think you mean LFS(local fish store), not LPS(large polyp stony). I would definitely watch out...those might be mojano, just by size shape and look. If they are BTA's they are teeny tiny ones, but with that much color, I would think they are very healthy and a very healthy BTA would not be nickel sized. Many mojanos, including the ones I have, will bubble their tips out.

they are not mojano mojano i know they are my enemy
my friend (itzme on RC) has a BTA that splits at about 3inches and you get these two quarter sized clones then he has an ocellaris pair that host them and sit in them like lounge chairs looks so funny.

definetly a BTA

that is what my hubby said the other day, he is starting to think that they are mojano. We have only been feeding every 3 days, and they have always got the same as the fish, which is normally frozen plankton, or a mixed frozen that I have. I would like to get some selcon for them, but so far can only find it online.

And yes I meant LFS:)

have another LFS that I am going to head to today and see if they carry the selcon or have any silversides.

Figure the only way I will know what I have is to get it to grow out more.

ill get a pic of some mojanos i have the tulips and the ones that look like mini BTA they dont look anything like those anemones in your picture

here are the damned mojanos the bublle tip one in the middle looks nothing like the one in wawrucks tank but hey it could be mojano also my mojano dont spli lilke that in fact ive never seen one split in half

I do like the green with pink tips that you have. Those are bad? (not questioning, have really never seen them before)

Instead of Selcon you can use Vita Chem its similar to Selcon. If they don't have any silversides you can use small pieces of shrimp instead.

ah my freind enjoy them in the pic they are evil lil SOBS they kill anything they touch
the pink tipped are the tulip anemones. i got a few of them on a rock from a guy near me becuase my Girlfriend liked them and now i cant get rid of them i kill about 50 a week and its never ending i have thought about tearing my tank apart and starting over many times because of Mojanos i would send western union 50 bucks to anybody who can tell me how to get rid of these things other than cooking the rock for 12 months.

i actually think the guy who sold me the rock was getting out of the hobby because he could not shake the tulips

Sure as heck if they don't look exactly like the mojanos in my tank...not saying you're wrong, but the size, color, and shape all remind me exactly of these.

I guess I see the difference, but I've never seen a healthy BTA that was that small before(nickel size)

i am seccond guessing based on size but the thing is speckled and has very "BTA like" tentacles

and it looks just like my friends did last time i saw it

i imagine once it heals then it will look bigger?
