RDSB \ Refugium combined or Seperate

Hello, I'm looking for some opinions from you guys on what is better or if its all the same when it comes to running a separate RDSB and Fuge or combining the two. Currently I have a 33 gal with a 5-6" sugar fine araganite running on its own with moderate flow across the sb. I planned on not lighting the rdsb. I have room to setup a separate refugium that i planned on running with a shallow sand bed and cheato and lighting with cf daylight bulbs but now wondering if i should save my somewhat limited space and combine the two.

Your opinions would be both helpful and appreciated.

Thanks!

you will need a clean up crew for the sand if you use the DSB in your refugium.

Maybe i should just keep the rdsb seperate, no light. Not sure if i'll need sand critters or not in the rdsb.

If there is good flow and no light you dont need a CUC in a RDSB.
