re-sizing and unloading to gallery

Hi all, i have read the stickys and i have 2 pics resized one to 800 pixels and 1 to 640.

But they are 1.38 mb and 901 kb, hiw am i suppose to upload them to the galery when the size is 125kb, you won;t be able to see them.

What am i doing wrong please.

open them in your photo editor program. convert them to a lower quality like a 800 x 600 jpg and you should be good. then save under a new name. enjoy

Part of the pictures size is what resolution it is saved at. When you save them, pick a low resolution, like 72 dpi, and that can help.

Personally, I use photobucket to host my images. It's free, it's easy, and you dont have to worry about space limitations like you do with Reef Central's gallery.

What you do is make the account on photobucket, then upload your images and just link to them in your reef central post, they will show up in the thread, it's very easy.
