re-wiring Giesemann spectra

i just received my Giesemann spectra and i want to wire it up to my Ice caps ballast. the unit is 72" and has 3 leads coming out with 5 wires on each lead. i think 1 of the leads are for the built in t-5. anyone knows the wiring schematics on these units?

ok, i figured it out there are 2 ballasts for the t-5's

hey jeremy.......i just wanted to find out if there was a solution to the problem with the bulb

You are going to find that the IC660 overdrives the T5's nicely, but the hood will not dissipate the extra heat without a fan mod. When I tried this on my Spectra the bulbs would shut down within 5 minutes.

great info mako but i was referring to the halides. i was confused by the extra wiring that was the separate ballast for the second set of t-5's.

no he didn't......i think he drove right past nyc to Atlantic city lol.

jeremy on another note, i got you e-mail for the other bulb but it was suppose to be a 400w not 250w.

Sorry for the dumb newb question but does the spectra have all ballasts inside the light unit or are there any external ballasts for the metal halide bulbs?

the t-5 ballasts are inside the unit, the MH are external
