I have been running a small aquatop reactor with some rowaphos and activated carbon. Im wondering when to pull the plug or if I should at all.
Im fairly confused about where when and how long to run the reactor so I don't overdose the system. It's only been in about 4 days and I am assuming im coming to the end of what my dosing period should be. Originally I used the rowaphos for high phosphate which it has dealt with (down to 0) and the carbon because I think it polishes the water nicely but honestly I'm fairly blank on what carbon really should be used for and its damaging effects.
I do know that carbon is used to clear water of toxins and to purify the water, I'm just looking for a more in depth response.
Mostly id like a comprehensive easy to follow guide to carbon.
