Reactor Question-

Ok, the tedious setup so far has gone like this:

I have the co2 output set to approx 2 bubbles per second.

The intake to the reaktor has the valve restricted so that the effluent is output = 50-60ml per min.

However the PH probe says that the effluent is 6.8 to 6.9 it fluctuates up and down....

I get the mechanics of the longer the water is exposed to the co2 the lower the ph drops but how do i get this effluent ph down to 6.5 or lower if the lowest i have seen it drop is 6.8 ?

Do I add more co2 bubbles per second? or do I decrease the effluent output to less than 50ml per min?

Please advise-

Is it a single chamber or dual?I would say to turn up the co2 output till you get to the PH you want.At the store we run the effluent about 90-100ML and the PH from the second chamber at 6.5.About 6.1 in the first chamber using new large coarse media from ARM.WE push alot of CO2 to make it happen but keep it controled with a PH controler which makes life so much easier.

:eek1:

Oh boy!

I guess you can never go a month without calibrating...

I calibrated and just like Chris said the calibration was off.

After calibration my affluent is 6.3 and melting the larger arm media just fine!
