4 days, the rock really was cured when I put them in about a week ago. I've tested consistently...had a slight slight spike and it's been stable ever since. I've been doing reef tanks for about 10 yrs now and I've never seen a cycle happen this quickly but I used established components...

30lbs of dry sand
30lbs of LS from a established tank
35 LR from AquariumArts and their stuff really does come cured.

rolled the tank with a MaxiJet 1200, 900, 600, 400
skimmed with a ViaAqua (open topped)

I guess I could wait another week but I think I'm ready...I know patience is the key but I think I actually got it right on this one. Thoughts?

waaaaaaaayyyyy to soon to tell IMO. I've seen spikes come days after 0 readings. IMO waiting a week is a must, just so there's no surprizes ya know. You've been doing this for awhile so you probably know anything that goes bad in these small tanks is amplified.

yeah, i know, this is my third small tank and I've been using my established reefs to start these guys and it seems like with each new one it gets quicker, in the end it's the LR that determines the readiness of a system and since I'm floating rocks across my tanks mixed with new LR that I've bought, I figured it made sense. My 26 Bow was ready within 2 weeks and it has never given me any problems...all the same, you're probably right, i'll give it another week.

You have other tanks right? Any mushrooms?
Throw a mushroom in there and watch it closely. It should be hardy enough to recover if things go south.
But honestly, it is probably too soon.
