Please please let me know if this is too many to add at one time. I don't want to over load my system. Tank is a 72 gallon bow front with a deep sand bed and a 20 gallon fuge. All I have now is 4 corals and my clean up crew. Tanks been up and doing good since May.

Pajama cardinal x 3
yellow rose goby
blue sided fairy wrasse
black sailfin blenny
yellow eye kole tang
scarlet cleaner shrimp x 2
candy strip pistol shrimp
royal urchin

will also add 2 black clowns but not right now. One other question will my goby have to go in quarintine then be add to display tank? or can I put him in the display tank with his shrimp on arrival? If I have to quarintine the goby will the shrimp find him when he's added to the display tank? Thanks.

That's a ton to add at once. Probably better to add 2-3 then test in a day or two and if params are clean add a couple more.

That is a lot of fish for one time. I'd add one or two, and then if they are still doing good in a couple weeks you can add one or two more. The key is to only add a couple at a time and then wait. Especially in a new tank you don't want to rush it.

You can add all of the inverts right away though, because they don't add much bioload. Do be aware though that the urchin can become a pain and knock around corals and rocks.

It's good to hear that you waited so long before adding your first fish.

Thanks, I'm tryining to take it slow. How about adding the goby and the 3 cardinals? Can I add the goby and pistol shrimp at different times and still have them bond?

I would probably add the goby and shrimp at the same time just to be safe. I would also only add the 3 cardinals to get started. Let the tank's bioload get adjusted after they are in the tank for a while and then you can add more fish.

Quarantining everything is VERY important. It's the one fish you don't bother to QT that is apt to introduce Ich to your tank. I'd go slow adding your fish. Also it's usually a good idea to research the aggression levels of the fish you are intending to buy so you can introduce the most aggressive last. Nice to see another "mature" lady in Reef Central. I'm into novels and pets too, but no grandkids yet.

that seems like alot to add at once. What corals do you have in a cycling system? Im a firm believer in quarantining everything before adding to your display. Have a hospital tank on hand.

Thanks Ellie sometimes I feel way too mature...like when I had to plumb my tank 3 times. Here's a picture, it's an old one though right after I sat the tank up. I guess I'll go slow. Trying to do good on shipping by getting several things at once. Should I put my pistol shrimp in quarantine with the goby?
