Real interesting article on nudi control

yeah especially that using potassium permanganate killed nudis and EGGS but soft corals like zoas live through the treatment.

I don't know if it was the same type of nudis that they where aiming for but they are very close genetically.

Is there a item sold in stores that is potassium permanganate that we use everyday. Kinda like kalkwasser and pickling lime?

I remember using potassium permanganate (KMnO4) in treatment of bacterial decease in fresh water fishes. It is a purple granule that you dissolve in water to a certain concentration and them drop it by volume in your tank. I am pretty sure that you can find medicine sold for FFW that contains this chemical.

pretty good i went tru it twice last wk.

Really! I would have tought that such an intelligent person like you (R) will only need to read this once. :D
Me, I've read it over an over I am still not clear on his findings and conclusions in the first garlic test.

If I understand correctly it seems that the garlic was strong enough to kill the nudis, and strong enough to kill the corals as well.

I to have read this article a couple times, it also seems that any of the garlic products don't work. it needs to be real garlic.

There is some controversy in this findings, I think that putting the coral for that long in a container would have killed it anyway. Nonetheless, it is pretty exciting findings and a good baseline for us to continue to experiment

I use the tropic marine procoral cure and just do an extra concentrated dip for about 20-25 min. It doesn't bother the corals and the nudis will crwl off when dipped for a long time.

I do the same-but the question that remains what about them eggs?

For those i brush and inspect.

After all of that I know that one day they are going to appear is just a matter of time and corals.
