real quick lighting question - monti cap

I have some red, green, and purple monti caps on the sandbed of my tank. the light is a giesemann nova II with a 250W phoenix 14k, 2 months old.

the tank is 12" deep, and the bulb is 13" above the water.

if you had to guess would you say the montis are getting not enough, about right, or too much light?

i am realllly bad at guessing light levels (i have little experience with it) and i cant afford a par meter.

Caps are very forgiving. More or less light will really only morph the colour.
