really cheap scraper

I was tired of using my razor blade between my fingers trying to scrape my glass tank. so i had a piece of 3/4 PVC and a razor blade. I figured the blade on my hack saw would be wide enough to make the blade width cut but still keep it tight. here are the pics

Does that scratch the glass? I was thinking about a razor blade, but after having the mag-float scratch my glass so bad, I figured a razor blade would be worse if it had any imperfections.

ive been using it for about 6 months and it did a little but i wasnt being smart and the razor was dull. with a sharp razor and keeping it flat to the glas i had no problem, when the razor got off kilter it scratched.
