Really dumb question...

How in the heck do I change my avatar to a picture or something else from my computer? I am completely lost on this one.... I thought I was pretty computer savvy...uhm...obviously not!

You go to My RC, select Edit Options. Scroll down to the bottom and select the change avatar button under the picture of your current avatar.

From there you can browse files and select your new avatar.

I figured it might have to do with the number of posts I have, or lack. Maybe I will suggest a raffle at the next meeting...I am feeling lucky already. hehehe
I guess I am going to have to start giving my 2 cents worth more often to increase my posts. This could get interesting, or it could get me in trouble!

As soon as the teens move out or we get a laptop I don't see it happening. They really did a number on the hard drive...but, I know that Rich really misses his Saturday and Sunday mornings spent posting here. Hopefully we are able to get a laptop soon!

You can get a new computer, and have someone set it up where they can not download stuff, on there account. I'm not sure if there is a windows setting, or a better program to use. You have a long time before the teen's move out..

You and I know both know that is what Stupid already does.
Stupid may be funny, but I am sure you could take him.

You might beable to wipe out the Harddrive you got again.. And restart everything.

If you pack it up, and bring over all your Software, I can probably get it working again.

i would just use password to use computer, i would, my computer is like my car i'm the only one drivin it, i bought the wife her own.

All right Linus, you are on. It is going to be a challenge though, I warn you. I even took it up to Geek Squad and there wasn't anything they could do, said I needed a new hard drive. I am thinking maybe they just wanted some of my cash...hmmm. I will bring it over this weekend and you can have at it when you have time. I would warn you about some of the pics you might come across, but....never mind!

If the hard drive is actually bad then I highly doubt it is something the kids did. Unless they kicked it across the room or stuck a nice magnet to it.

If you do need a new hard drive you can find them pretty cheap on price watch. They don't actually sell stuff on there they just point you to the deals.

But, if you go get a new hard drive from circuit city or best buy and that doesn't work you can take it back that day. You will def. pay a little more and probably get a larger drive than you need but you will know right then if it's your HD.
