How do you guys get your milleporas to have long stringy polyp extention?

I often wonder when I see pics these superfuzzy mille's if they always look like that or if someone snapped a pic while at the peak of a feeding response

yeah the random part means more imo. If the polyps arent swishing back and forth, its not random enough and will not extend to the same length. I have a prostrata(similar to mille) and hell at night, it looks like the polyps are one blast away from falling out!
